Sikh wedding of Bhavya and Amanpreet in Birmingham
We did Sikh Wedding photography in Birmingham for Bhavya and Amanpreet. It was such a joyous assignment. They had hired us to do their wedding photography, wedding Videography and Bridal Makeup. When we look at the wedding pictures of Bhavya and Amanpreet, we can’t help but smile and feel proud of our team of professionals at Uzma’s.
There was so much fun at this Sikh wedding in Birmingham. Our team did photography, videography and Bridal / Party Makeups. We were their first choice of wedding photographers, videographers and bridal makeup artists in Birmingham. We enjoyed every bit being a part of this beautiful Indian wedding.
Sikh Wedding Photography, Videography and Sikh Bridal Makeup in Birmingham and surrounding areas.
Bhavya and Amanpreet are from the Sikh community in Birmingham. They followed all the Sikh Asian traditions and mixed it with UK wedding traditions. So, there were sangeet, mehndi, Anand Karaj and at the end a gala party.
Everyone knows that Sikhs are very hospitable and jolly. Needless to say, the wedding was full of fun, laughter and dancing.
Bhavya and Amanpreet contacted us after finding us on Google. They did a search in Google for “Sikh Wedding Photography in Birmingham” and “Asian Bridal Makeup in Birmingham”. After finding us and taking a look at our work, they contacted us by calling 03301134469 .

Both Bhavya and Amanpreet wanted to have more than one team of photographers, videographers and Bridal/Makeup Artists. They wanted to cover both the groom and brides houses at the same time. Uzma’s has a big team of Asian Wedding Photographers, Videographers and Asian Bridal Makeup Artists which was perfect for the couple.
The excited couple wanted the best for their wedding . Bhavya and Amanpreet have a lot of friends in India and Pakistan. They had invited even overseas friends to attend their wedding. We planned not to miss a single precious moment.
The pre-wedding celebrations:
The celebrations started with the sangeet. It was a grand event. The bride and groom’s cousins planned a funny Bollywood themed party. The dances were very well practiced. The song selection was amazing. Guests danced to old and new songs. Even the uncles and aunties joined in the fun too. Ladies wearing Indian and Pakistani movie inspired dresses looked very beautiful.
We kept ourselves busy taking photos of groups and individuals. Some of the photos were candid and natural. They were done in “Documentary” and “photo journalistic” style. The photos show everything that happened at the wedding functions. Our Wedding Photographers and Wedding Videographers like taking candid – photo journalistic – documentary type photos. Our clients and their guests were really impressed by the Bridal and Party makeup our team had done.
The dance party got a bit emotional when the mother of the bride came to dance with her daughter. The look on the face of the bride made everyone’s eyes fill with tears. These are the kind of things that make an Indian wedding so memorable. These are memories of a lifetime.
The mehndi / Henna function was also very exciting. Bhavya wore a traditional coloured saree along with beautiful jewellery. With red lipstick and smokey eyes, she stole the show. Her typical Asian Bridal Makeup made her look spectacular and like a princess.
The Sikh wedding in Birmingham – Bhavya and Amanpreets wedding in 2019
The wedding day sees a lot of activities in a Sikh house. The baraat comes along with the guests. The groom arrives on a horse along with a lot of music and firecrackers. The Anand Karaj is the actual wedding that takes place in a Gurdwara.
We headed there to see Bhavya tying the knot with Amanpreet. She wore a red lehenga for the wedding along with diamond jewellery. She chose a traditional makeup look with heavy eyeshadow, highlighter, and blusher. Her hair was done with floral garlands that matched her clothes.
Our Bridal Makeup Artists did the best they could to make her look outstanding. Just look at the photos and you will know how gorgeous she looked.
The wedding reception was held in a hotel. It was attended by all relatives and friends. The theme of the wedding was royal. The wedding venue was decorated beautifully. We loved to take photos and video clips of the beautifully decorated tables, the reception hall and of course the food. There were different kinds of sweets and other Indian food. The food looked delicious.
Bhavya and Amanpreet wanted a blend of eastern and western culture. Therefore, they had a first dance as well as traditional Indian wedding games. Everybody danced to Indian chartbusters and the atmosphere was electrifying.
They chose to seek blessings of the elders like most Asians do on special events. Because these moments were so emotional therefore we only took natural photos to capture the true feelings clearly visible at the wedding ceremony.
The Birmingham Sikh wedding of Bhavya and Amanpreet came to an end with Bhavya leaving for her new home.
For us, it was another memory-filled Sikh wedding. It reminded us how important traditions are. We hope you enjoyed viewing the photos and will bless Bhavya and Amanpreet.
